One Wise Link (“OWL,””we,””us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

 

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Registration information: first name, last name, username, email address, and password.
  • Profile information: profile photo (if uploaded), contact preferences.
  • Payment information: billing name and address. Credit card and payment data is processed by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
  • User-generated content: ads, solo ads, program reviews, community posts, and training content submitted by Directors.
  • Communication with support: messages sent to support@onewiselink.com.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits.
  • Cookies: we use cookies to maintain login sessions, track referral sponsorship (365-day referral cookie), and analyze site usage. See Section 5 for details.
  • Activity data: login history, ad clicks, solo ad interactions, credit transactions, commission events, and training progress.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processor data: confirmation of successful payment, subscription status, and renewal information from WooCommerce and our payment processor.

 

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your membership account.
  • To process payments, subscriptions, and commission payouts.
  • To assign sponsor relationships and manage the referral and matrix system.
  • To display personalized content, including your sponsor’s recommended program to your downline.
  • To send the daily email digest, transactional notifications (commission earned, new referral, ad approved), and platform announcements.
  • To track training progress within the 90 Day Foundational Training System.
  • To manage ad rotation, credit balances, and leaderboard rankings.
  • To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the Platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

 

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: payment processors, email delivery services, and hosting providers who assist in Platform operations and are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Your sponsor: your username and display name are visible to your sponsor and upline as part of the matrix and downline system.
  • Your downline: if you are a Director, your recommended program settings and display name are visible to members in your downline.
  • Public content: program reviews are publicly visible and indexed by search engines. Your username and affiliate link are displayed with your review.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

 

5. Cookies and Tracking

5.1 Referral Cookie

When a visitor clicks a member referral link, we set a first-party cookie (owl_sponsor) that lasts 365 days. This cookie records which member referred the visitor so that sponsor assignment is correctly applied upon registration. This cookie does not track activity outside of the One Wise Link Platform.

5.2 Session and Authentication Cookies

We use standard WordPress session cookies to maintain your login state. These expire when you close your browser or log out.

5.3 Analytics

We may use basic analytics tools to understand site traffic and usage patterns. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify individual users in reports we review.

5.4 Cookie Consent

By using the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described above. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in or accessing member features.

 

6. Email Communications

6.1 Daily Email Digest

All members, including Free members, receive a daily email digest. This digest contains solo ads submitted by Pro and Director members and is integral to the Platform’s advertising and credit system. The daily digest is a condition of membership. Members who do not wish to receive the daily digest may cancel their membership.

6.2 Transactional Notifications

We send transactional emails for account events including: welcome email upon registration, commission earned, new referral joined, ad approved, and similar account activity. These emails are required for account operation and cannot be individually opted out of.

6.3 Promotional Emails

We may send periodic promotional emails about Platform updates, new features, and marketing opportunities. These emails include an unsubscribe link as required by CAN-SPAM. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time without affecting your membership.

6.4 CAN-SPAM Compliance

All commercial emails from One Wise Link include: our physical mailing address or P.O. Box, a clear identification that the message is an advertisement where applicable, and an opt-out mechanism for promotional messages. We honor opt-out requests promptly.

 

7. Data Retention

We distinguish between personal account data and financial records, and handle each differently upon account cancellation or termination.

7.1 Personal Account Data

Personal account data includes your name, email address, profile photo, submitted ads, solo ads, community posts, and training progress. Upon account cancellation or termination, this data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days. You will not appear in active member listings or leaderboards after cancellation.

7.2 Financial and Transaction Records

Commission history, payment receipts, fast start bonuses paid or received, and WooCommerce order records are financial records required for legal, tax, and audit purposes. These records are retained for a minimum of 7 years following your last transaction, regardless of account status. This data is not used for marketing and is not visible to other members.

7.3 Usernames

Your username is tied to the referral and matrix history of the Platform. Upon cancellation, your username is retired and will not be reassigned to another member. It is not publicly displayed after cancellation but is retained in system records for matrix integrity purposes.

7.4 Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal account data using the contact form at onewiselink.com/contact. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days to the extent permitted by law. Financial and transaction records cannot be deleted as they are required for legal and tax compliance.

 

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include password hashing, SSL encryption for data in transit, and access controls on our servers.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

9. Children’s Privacy

The One Wise Link Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will promptly delete the account and associated data.

 

10. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, share, or sell.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

11. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is: (a) performance of the membership contract, (b) our legitimate interests in operating a secure and functional platform, and (c) your consent where explicitly obtained (such as for the referral cookie).

For the 365-day referral cookie specifically, EU visitors will be presented with a cookie consent banner before the cookie is set.

12. Third-Party Links

The Platform contains links to third-party websites, programs, and services (including those in the Downline Builder and member ads). This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites and recommend you review their policies independently.

 

13. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from this policy are subject to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Service.

 

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify members of material changes by email or Platform notification. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated with each revision. Continued use of the Platform after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
